Based in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast with over 25 years experience, Jon Mees Homes has been in operation since 2000. Our Open Building Licence means we’re not just limited to residential builds and allows us to build any class of building.

Jon Mees Homes is a luxury custom home and apartment builder.
We mainly do our own developments but will also work with a select few clients from time to time.
Jon is a talented and passionate builder with years of experience in construction under his belt. After leaving school at 16 he earned his qualification in carpentry. A few years later he then studied for his Diploma of Building and earned his Building Licence in 1999 at 25.
As a carpenter Jon traded under the name Mees Carpentry. Once he started building under his own licence in 1999, Mees Carpentry became Mees Construction, and then in 2013 rebranded to Jon Mees Homes to better reflect the personal and hands on approach to building.
Jon has always enjoyed building and spent his whole working life in the building industry. This is all he’s ever done as far as work is concerned. He still very much enjoys it and considers it to be a true passion. If he had his time again he would go down the same path.
The work and lifestyle balance is important to Jon. When Jon’s not working, he enjoys spending time on the farm out west and travelling, having spent 2021 caravanning around Australia with his wife Nikki.
